AGARTALA, June 5 (TIWN): In an anti-drug raid the Bilonia police recovered 20 kg of cannabis kept underground in a house in the North Kalabaria area of the East Kalabaria Gram Panchayat.
Based on secret information, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer Soumya Debabarma, and Bilonia PS OC, SI Sritikanta Vardhan along with a large police force raided Ratan Pal’s house. After searching for a long time, they recovered two big drums of cannabis hidden underground inside his room and kitchen.
Sources say Ratan started the cannabis trade much before by bringing them from the western hills of Bilonia for business purposes and stockpiling them at his home.
Accused Ratan Pal fled the house on hearing of the raid. The police seized the illegal stockpiled drugs and filed a case against the culprit.
