AGARTALA, Nov 3 (TIWN): In front of a mother, her child was killed by throwing it in pond, hundreds of men, women were involved in assaulting a housewife and cutting her hair by tying her with a light-post.

The incident took place at Sonamura’s border area in Tripura. Locals also forced her husband to give her talak.

Police rushed to the spot and rescued the woman and taken to hospital.

Today CPI-M’s women’s wing Nari Samiti kicked off a massive protest rally in Agartala demanding justice for this women.
