AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): BJP Minister Sushanta Chowhdury has blamed CPI-M for Mandai tension of 27th March night when BJP party office was set on fire and scattered violence had taken place.
Sushanta Chowdhury had visited Mandai and met the BJP workers. Along with BJP state leaders, the Minister also met the police officers posted in Mandai PS.
Reacting to the incident, Chowdhury said, “The miscreants have attacked King Bir Bikram Manikya’s statue also. As per eye-witnesses although Tipra Motha was blamed initially but reportedly, the miscreants are new members of the party. Earlier they all were in CPI-M”.
“This is CPI-M’s strategy. In West Bengal also, CPI-M is doing this, because they want to come to power through the backdoor. In Tripura, the CPI-M will not get a single seat in the ADC and that’s why they are doing this”, said Chowdhury.
“We will not pressurize police. That’s not the BJP government’s style of ruling. Manipulating cases were jobs of CPI-M, not ours. Let the police find out the criminals and go accordingly”, said Sushanta Chowdhury.
