AGARTALA, Jan 19 (TIWN): Following various attacks upon BJP activists in Tripura and burning of various booth offices, BJP leader Ratan Chakraborty told TIWN, “Since few days, the attacks upon the BJP activists have been increased and by such attacks CPI-M is just exposing their fears. But by showing such threats, they can not halt BJP’s increasing power. Across the state including Dharmanagar, Belonia they are spreading violence". Ratan Chakraborty in the morning visited at Khayerpur after a booth office was burnt at there. Chakraborty told TIWN that the booth was made by Ward No 44 and Ward No 45’s BJP supporters, belongs to Tulakona and Marakpara area. “In such interior areas apart from CPI-M, no other party could put even their flags. In this condition local youths by own effort when made a booth office the CPI-Ms have burnt it. We believe that CPI-M has only done this activity”, Ratan Chakraborty told TIWN.

The BJP activists also to hold various rallies across Tripura protesting against  the violence. A rally at Agartala at 3 PM will begin to condemn the activity of the ruling party.

“We believe, except CPI-M no other party has done it”, said the BJP leader.

Yesterday night, after one Dharmanagar activist Rana Sinha was attacked during 'Vijay Sankalp Rally', another Kanu Malakar of 48 years was also attacked by 5-6 CPI-M cadres and left him critically injured. Even after latenight protest at Dharmanagar of the BJP led by MLA Biswabandhu Sen, today various booth offices of BJP were found burnt in state. 

After such attacks upon BJP activists, question is also raising against the law and order condition under state police. How a party worker was taken away from a rally and  beaten, it has raised question.

Amidst central forces active guarding such incident has also upset the opposition party workers.

Tripura election is on February 18 and counting on March 3rd. When only 30 days have left for the election, clashes among party workers have begun to hit the law and order of the state.
