AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Even though Ratan Bhowmik didn't invite the Central Minister Vijay Sapla to meet him neither he went in meeting conducted by Central Minister, but calling a press conference after Minister's departure, Ratan Bhowmiks said, "CPI-M Govt was never in Central, but whenever any party was at Central the Central Ministers used to conduct meetings with Chief Minister and other Ministers, but without conducting any meeting with us, he directly called press just after meeting few officials". "He had no interest to listen the officials also. So he lacked data in his press meet. In the press meet, the first issue was raised by him was that Tripura's SCs are not getting their rights and CPI-M is Anti-Dalit party but what about UP, Bihar, Haryana like states where crimes against Dalits are at rise ? ", said Bhowmik.
"In the meeting with Govt Officials various things were discussed and DGP, CS told him everything. Earlier, full team of centre came in Tripura and they met our CM and the Ministers. But he didn't meet us and directly called press", Bhowmik told media.
Addressing the media further, Ratan Bhowmik said, "Tripura has always performed excellent in SC, ST Welfare and similar issues".
"Recently a Central team visited and praised the Tripura Govt managed hostels for SC students. So, these allegations have no point", added Bhowmik.
Yesterday, in a press conference Vijay Sampla told media that since 2016 no utilization certificate was sent to the Centre, neither the state govt has any motive to go for new projects.
Ratan Bhowmik said, 'We didn't take new projects for state, as Tripura's backward class never raised any demand and no major allegation was raised against the dept. However, we will surely utilize all central projects'.
