TIWN Jan 17, 2018
AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar’s ‘Golden Era’ turned State IAS officials from Indian Administrative Service to CPI-M’s Indian Administrative Slaves (IAS). Union Minister Vijay Sampla while visiting GB hospital witnessed that not even a single doctor was present in duty. Sampla had called DM West Millind Ramteke asking why there was no Doctor present in that hospital and why no Govt official has come to meet him till now ? When TIWN asked Health Minister Badal Choudhury on this issue Tripura Health Minister said, "Nobody met him as he didn't inform anybody". "If before coming in Tripura, they inform then only the govt officials can meet him. Without knowledge how we will know about who is coming in state".
Badal Chowdhury’s comment is shocking as Chief Secretary to DGP all are informed from Delhi when Union Ministers visit States.Question was raised, how without the knowledge of Social Welfare Dept of state, the Central Minister can come to Tripura ? From programme organizers, it was said that everything was informed to state and it was not a political rally that state is not liable; rather the Minister came in Govt tour.
But Badal Choudhury clearly said, "No information was given to state govt and must be that's why he was not treated as a Central Minister can be".
While blasting West DM Millind Ramteke via phone, "I told you repeatedly about my visit. You may be outside of the state but on your behalf at least SDM, ADM or someone has to come. Since yesterday I am here but nobody is with me. When a central minister is visiting a state one govt official has to be with him".
"After acknowledging that West DM Milind Ramteke was blasted by Union Minister before media, Chowdhury told TIWN, "What can DM do in that condition ? If Central Minister needs a special treatment then he must inform while coming in state. Ramteke may not know about it".
"Actually they are not getting any issue to make and thus making it a big issue", added Chowdhury.
BJP Central Minister Vijay Sampla after reaching GB hospital saw that not a single doctor was present during his visit. Whether it was intentional or regular basis absence of state doctors, it's not sure yet.
The Minister via phone asked DM West Millind Ramteke about the issue and why no doctor was there in GB Hospital.
Later an official was scheduled to meet him after Central Minister's order.
