AGARTALA / BELONIA, Jan 12 (TIWN): Barman family’s decades long history of helping CPI-M destabilized opposition parties Congress, TMC as huge chunk of illegal land grabbing was allowed under CPI-M’s blessings. Former Congress, TMC MLA Sudip Barman is exactly doing the opposite what he promised on his BJP joining day. On 7th August, 2017 Sudip Barman had joined in BJP with few candidates but on that time Barman said, “We need nothing from BJP, but just want to defeat(?) the CPI-M in Tripura jointly”. But ahead of the crucial election, an infighting has been started in BJP because instead of choosing dedicated BJP activists, Sudip Barman is allegedly trying to field his own coterie of crooks as BJP candidates via Himanta Biswa Sarma in various constituencies so that CPI-M can win easily.Already Barman is doing whatever in his wish from 10323 teachers case to IPFT-BJP mess. Now, ahead of election Sudip Barman has left BJP with no other option but to recommend his own candidates.

On the other side via 10323 teachers Barman is trying to repair his damaged image, even though it’s damaging BJP’s image in public in reality. 

At Belonia Sudip Barman via Himanta Biswa Sarma has recommended Amal Mallik, who is around 60 years age but 6 times defeated ex-Congress, TMC candidate.

In 1982 Congress candidate Amal Mallik was defeated but then in 1988, 1993 he won for two times. In 1988 from Central Congress when Santosh Dev, P S Sangma were the central ministers huge funds allegedly came from centre. Apart from that some overaged people were given jobs ahead of election, a very reliable source told TIWN.

But in 1998 Amal Mallik was defeated and never won. His defeat was repeated in 2003 as TMC candidate he was defeated, then 2005 (Parliamentary election), 2008 and again in 2013 he was defeated massively.

But this 6 times defeated candidate is trying to fight election again and Sudip Barman has personally taken the responsibility and allegedly at Udaipur meeting, Sudip Barman had asked Himanta to enter Amal Mallik’s name.

Local people said that even after his defeat, Amal Mallik remained inactive and never stood beside any local to help him/ her. In this condition if Amal Mallik stands in election, for sure BJP will loss the constituency but before Sudip Barman state BJP has left without almost any option.

A local man said about Amal Mallik, "Ex MLA Amal Mallik is like as Samir Barman .He resign from Cong and Join TMC and again now joined in BJP.He does not do anything for betterment of Belonia .He changes  his colour frequently and a very cunning fellow.People of Belonia  lost faith in him".
