TIWN Dec 18, 2017
AGARTALA, Dec 18 (TIWN): Even though at Himachal Pradesh the poll result was certainly a drop for Congress but after Gujrat results, the Central BJP are not at all satisfied, hardly a relief for next 5 years.
Even though Tripura BJP led by Sunil Deodhar and Biplab Deb celebrated the HP and Gujrat victories but the post result survey says BJP needs a serious development at Gujrat.
In compare to Congress, BJP had tough leaders as Modi and Amit Shah whereas Congress's showpiece Rahul Gandhi is a failed leader since the beginning, but state's Congress workers made it possible to pass BJP very hardly.
The ruling BJP was on Monday set to retain power in Gujarat, just edging past the half-way mark in one of the most bitterly contested elections that saw the Congress improve its tally compared to five years ago.
But, BJP lost Modi's hometown in Gujarat of Unjha constituency.
Not only this, BJP also lost a major portion of rural vote banks even though at Urban Gujarat, BJP performance has been up to mark.
On the other side celebrations are across the Capital City by the saffron brigade, whereas BJP's winning at Gujarat went very tough.
BJP had won 115 seats in 2012 election but in 2017 it got 99, indeed a deep down from the previous.
