Tripura got 73 IAS, 50 IPS and 57 IFS in cadre separation

NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, August 20 (TIWN):With the amendment of Northeast Area (Reorganization) Act, Indian administrative service (IAS), police service (IPS) and forest service (IFS) officers are all set to be separated for Tripura and Manipur state cadres, as the union cabinet has cleared the nod of cadre bifurcation last week.Official sources on Wednesday stated that Department of Personal and Training (DoPT) has already issued notice for re-allocation of IAS, IPS, IFS and other all India service officers from the existing joint Manipur-Tripura cadre between two states.Centre has decided the cadre bifurcation with the recommendation of the committee, had constituted a committed under the Chairmanship of Secretary DoPT in consultation with the respective state governments and hearing the officers concern to re-allocate them in Manipur and Tripura.

However, sources claimed that cadre strength of the states would exactly be like the present posting of the officers in the respective states. However, the draft list of the all India service cadres would be finalised after August 25.

 According to DoPT circular, Tripura is having 73 IAS officers (from 1977 batch) including 26 promotee TCS, 50 IPS officers (from 1979 batch) including 18 promotee TPS and 57 IFS officers (from 1979 batch) including 18 TFS officers at present who are proposed to be with Tripura after bifurcation.

In case of Manipur, there are 91 IAS officers including 32 MCS officers (from 1977), 60 IPS officers (from 1979) including 24 MPS and 44 IFS officers including 16 MFS cadres (from 1980) who will remain be there with Manipur.
