AGARTALA, Nov 18 (TIWN): Rs 35,000 croes of Rose Valley chit fund scam and after enough demands for CBI's direct investigations, finally BJP has decided to send all the details about Rose Valley scam to the CBI at New Delhi and Kolkata Office demanding immediate arrest of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and others related to the scam. Addressing a press meet, Tripura Opposition MLA Sudip Roy Barman said, "SIT is investigating Rose Valley ? I want to ask SIT's Chief into Chit Fund scam K V Sreejesh, "Have you interrogated Chief Minister Manik Sarkar ? Have you interrogated Bijita Nath, Goutam Das just as CBI has done ? " "Enough is enough. We waited for decades and it's time for Direct questioning to CBI and BJP will write to CBI Officers with all details about Chief Minister's direct involvement in Rose Valley scam which looted 14 lakhs families of Tripura, downing the state's economy", said Barman.

In the letter written by State BJP, which will be given to Bratin Ghosal (CBI inspector) and also in English Translation another letter to be given to CBI Delhi Office has been highlighted on the data-hiding attitide of CM in Rose Valley chit fund case.

The letter has been typed with certain questions which CBI must ask the Chief Minister of Tripura are :

1. Since Manik Sarkar became the Chief Minister Chit fund started swelling. When opposition raised voice against chit fund's fastest expansion in Northeast Tripura, in the year 2000  when Manik Sarkar was the Law Minister, “The Tripura Protection of Interest of Depositors (In Financial Establishments ) Act" was implemented.  The then Finance Minister Badal Choudhury accepted while vividing about the law that it will protect public money from frauds, which the state already had experienced.

2. But unfortunately , to constitute the rules and regulations it took 7 years long and thus it took 7 years that the law come under action. That time Manik Sarkar was also the Law Minister of Tripura but being the Law Minister in 2000 and also in 20107, how did he allowed Rose Valley disaster in state? , Barman raised question.

Moreover, the law was defective and weak. Again under the pressure from the opposition in 2011 once more the law was modified. According to the new law, all the DMs, SDMs started to keep notes of the chit fund groups and their incomes, deposits everything. It was told the Chit Fund owners that if per month, they (Chit Fund companies) do not submit their reports to the State Govt Officials, then they will be fined.

Surprisingly in 2013 , May 12 total 27 cases were sent to CBI for investigation, where there was no mention about Rose Valley chit fund. Again Opposition protested. Then after 15 days on May 27 with Rose Valley's  name a new list for CBI investigation was sent but the amount was 15,400.

"Our question is why Chief Minister could not take reports from DM, SDMs before sending the wrong figures with 15,400 rupees which led CBI to cancel Tripura from Rose Valley investigation list ?", said Barman to media.

3.  Tripura Govt's bad intentions did not stop here. Till day the exact looted amount by Rose Valley and other Chit funds have not disclosed to the public. In Govt Website, it was written Rs. 35 crores but in the Assembly Bhanulal Saha (Finance Minister) said the amount is Rs. 35000 crores.

Not only this : Chief Minister on 2016, Dec 19 said in reply of a question that Rose Valley looted 15,400 crores but after that Govt said under 3 cases against Rose Valley at the West PS the amount was Rs. 97 crore 84 lakhs. After that opposition demanded CBI probe into the scam, but CM rejected opposition's plea.

"Constantly Chief Minister was trying to suppress the Rose Valley scam. Moreover, under State level Committee via NE Development Finance Corporation Lmt total Rs. 33 lakhs 68 thousand 388 was managed as subsidy for Rose Valley. How being the law minister he allowed Chit Fund to loot Rs. 35,000 crores from state?", asks Barman.

"If Sudipta Sen could be arrested for sharing dais with chit fund owner, Madan Mitra for promoting chit fund.....why our Chief Minister can not?", added Barman.

However, with all these BJP is writing a letter to the CBI Officers at Kolkata and at Delhi.

Barman also asked media to take a lead role to draw CBI's attention into the scam instigated by the Chief Minister of Tripura.
