AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): In a meeting with Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Tripura BJP Observer Sunil Deodhar, State President Biplab Deb have discussed about the deteriorating law and order situations of Tripura, followed by various murder episodes since 25 years of Communist regime.

The BJP delegates detailed the Union Home Minister about the recently held Bishalgarh violence upon common men, women and BJP activists which injured at least 17 BJP supporters.

The SFI led College violence issue also raised during the meeting, which left many ABVP members serious injured.

Rajnath Singh was surprised to let about the unconvinced cases, sensational murder incidents and missing diaries under the CPI-M regime in Tripura. Recently the Parliamentary team during their 2 day visits mentioned that Tripura is undergoing ‘jungle-raj’, far from law & order’s establishment.

Mentioning a quote of former Chief  Justice of Tripura High Court which says, “The conviction rate is very slow in the state. The main reason is that filling of FIR is very low. Police here should register FIR and start investigation immediately”, the state BJP members alleged about the ongoing anarchy of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar's era which left above 80 % cases without proper verdict.

"Met Hon’ble Home Minister Rajnath Singh Ji along with BJP TripuraState President Biplab Kumar Deb Ji. We expressed our concern over collapsed law & order situation in Tripura, especially on the borders of Bangladesh with special reference to murder of BSF Commandant Deepak Mandal Ji & infiltration of militant groups. #RajnathSingh Ji assured that he will look into the matter & will ask for a report from Tripura government", Sunil Deodhar tweeted.
