AGARTALA / BARAMURA, July 16 (TIWN): Eventhough a meeting was held among Tripura Govt and IPFT but the meeting has been proven as an utter failure. N C Debbarma now in demand of Tripartite meeting with Central State & IPFT. The IPFTs also claimed that they will have a meeting at New Delhi with Central Home Ministry, although no official report has been come so far. A team of IPFT led by President N C Debbarman, Ananta Debbarma and also Youth IPFT leaders have started meeting with Chief Secretary, DMs, SP and Police High Officials. Reportedly, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Ranjan has urged N C Debbarma and his team to withdraw the strike over national highway. West DM Millind Ramteke, SP West Abhijit Saptarshi were also present in the meeting. This meeting was also followed by 3 of the IPFT youths turned ill with the unhealthy environment created due to the blockade at Baramura. But the meeting ended amidst 'No Solution' at all.

In demand of a separate Tipraland, Tripura tribal party IPFT has continued a strike over National Highway and Railway from July 10 at Baramura.

The road blockade was begun with the demand of a separate land Tipraland since Monday morning and denied to withdraw the strike unless state is separated. On Tuesday as a part of agitation IPFT had burnt tires, raised slogan of ‘No Tipraland, No Rest’ and on Wednesday IPFT also held a naked rally & this is the 6th day of their blockade.

Talking to NC Debbarma after the meting ended, he told media, "A 9 members team had attended the meeting. But same request was repeated by Govt officials that is to withdraw the blockade. On our side we have said we need Tripraland and state govt may not be ready to split the land, but it should sit in meeting with central govt, IPFT and then state govt can place its view in the meeting".
