BJP complains Governor about CPI-M launched violence across Tripura, asks for Centre’s intervention

AGARTALA, June 28 (TIWN): Alleging CPI-M led violence are hitting the state everyday, fueling enmass beating, killing of BJP supporters a 8 members team led by BJP leader Subol Bhowmik palced deputation to the Governor Tathagata Roy on Wednesday afternoon.

In the deputation BJP told the Governor, “The Left rule Govt in Tripura totally got shaken and nervous to see the outrage of people supporting BJP and as means to defense the same the CPI-M party came out offensive, indulging in violence just as they did and have been doing at Kerala and West Bengal………for last few days CPI-M cadres are opening restoring to violence….and the Govt is forced to promulgate article 144 of the Indian Penal Code of the Indian Penal code………”

Citing few examples of recent incidents BJP leader Subol Bhowmik pointed out :

  1. On June 25, one BJP leader Litan Das from Khowai Dist was injured by CPI-M,
  2. At Belonia on June 24th, the CPI-M cadres manhandled a boy, burnt his motor cycle, and on 2nd day CPI-M began mass beating. Total 36 workers were brutally beaten and 10 are till day lef tin serious condition. All the attacked held in the presence of Minister Badal Choudhury at South Tripura,
  3. On June BJP member of Sepahijala Dist Birlal Sarkar was killed brutally by CPI-M cadres,
  4. At Mizapur, Sidhai area BJP members were beaten,
  5. On June 23rd at Natun Bazar, Amarpur under MLA Parimal Debnath atleast 17 BJP members were injured seriously,
  6. On June 22 at Bagma CPI-M cadres beaten a poor rickshaw –driver, after he joined BJP,
  7. On June 3rd at Dhanpur (Manik Sarkar’s constituency) attacked 4 BJP members and 1 is fighting with death,
  8. On June 14 senior BJP leader Kalyani Roy was injured by SFI at Teliamura,
  9. On 20th May, BJP Vice President Rampada Jamatia was attacked at Atharobola,
  10. On May 3rd CPI-M MLA Anjan Das caused a chaos by injuring 14 BJP workers and later putting section-144 at Kamalpur,
  11. On May 2nd a violence was conducted  at Dharmanagar.

With all these allegations BJP leaders demanded Central Govt’s intervention to the serious situation ongoing here.
