Forest Dept workers sit on strike in demand to be regularized

BISHALGARH, June 21 (TIWN): Demanding to be regularized 358 forest dept employees in Tripura have sat on strike on Wednesday.

Since morning 9 AM at Bishalgarh Forest Dept the employees didn't allow anyone to enter the office that led a critical situation there.

'We are protesting to be regularized for many days but except hopes and false promises we didn't get anything', said the agitators.

Being failed to meet the Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha and insulted by Forest Minister Naresh Jamatia, the deprived 358 irregular employees gheraoed Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s residence in demand to be regularized and to meet him personally to place deputation before the CM.

There are total 358 irregular employees in Forest Dept are working since 15 years, but the state govt has no concern to make them regular, alleged the irregular employees while standing in front of CM’s residence.

The agitators further said that on last Sunday the met the Forest Minister Naresh Jamatia at his residence, but instead of showing sympathy the Forest Minister blasted them asking whereas BJP has sent them with demands.

Reportedly, later Manik Sarkar met them and told them he will look after the issue and open their file soon, but his promises left without action. 

At the end no solution has yet been done to the issue. The authority ended by asking to submit a written application to the dept for this !
