AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Amidst Tripura Left Front Govt’s continuous blaming to centre for slashing MGNREGA funds for the state , RD Principal Secretary GSG Ayangar in a letter wrote in March 7 that due to false geo-tagging, work completion records published for MGNREGA, it’s very much possible that in coming days the fund slashing from the centre will be a big issue for Tripura. Recently. BJP spokesperson Ashok Sinha released 2 letters of GSG Ayanagar written to Tripura Govt giving A pre-warning about the consequences. Both BJP & Trinamool Congress raised the question, “How it is possible that a state having highest mandays doing the lowest works on the ground ? It’s clear that the project fund is not getting utilized, whereas for mandays funds Central Govt has launched direct beneficiary.

Whereas in work competition Tripura Govt published bogus report, in Asset ID Completion state has failed virtually.  ‘In Geo-tagging Tripura fulfilled only 6 % of the target so that the tracking of MGNREGA works can be delayed.

Apart from MGNREGA there are other scams in the RD Dept. including PMAY. Allegation came that the direct beneficiary system which was launched to facilitate the people with the deserve money directly, without any interference from the state govt dept has been massively violated in the Pradhan Mantri awash Yojna scheme.

On April 7, 2017 in a circulation singed by Joint Secretary (MGNREGA) T K Debnath it was announced that in the last installment for the Awash Yojna, total Rs. 18,460/- will be kept in the dept came in the beneficiary's name and with that money tin will be circulated.

The beneficiaries at rural bodies get total Rs. 1.30 lakhs for their houses construction via direct beneficiary system, which has almost closed the doors of corruption for the RD Dept. But surprisingly, whereas the money comes in 3 installments : 1) 1st Installment - Rs. 48,460/-, 2) 2nd Installment - 50,000/-,  3) 31,540/-, in the 3rd installment the Panchayat Dept has started to keep Rs. 18,460/- per installments, whereas the same rule is not applicable for urban bodies.

Allegation raised, whereas for 23,723 families in villages (as per his survey) total 308 crores of money are to come, per family 18,460 rupees totals Rs. 43, 89, 26, 580 only for Tin purpose, out of which state govt is easily taking commission of Rs. 7 to 8 crores. "Whereas a house needs bricks, cement, woods but the state govt is taking care of the tin part just for secret deal with tin-companies", recently one Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath raised the question.
