However, in case of GST also  heating arguments may take place, which was signaled at Pragna Bhawan during GST workshop held ahead of GST launching decision.

A GST Dissemination workshop held at Pargna Bhawan chaired by Finance Minister Bhanulal Saha and opposition MLAs, generated debate regarding the Central Govt's profit from GST implementation in Tripura. The MLA further raised question, whereas "Traders with a turnover of less than Rs 10 lakh a year won’t have to register for or pay the goods and service tax (GST)", will Tripura in coming day virtually pay any taxes ? However, the programme was fully controlled by Tripura Govt Officials, whereas they could easily invite some NITI Aayog members from New Delhi or resource person. Question also raised by the MLA, "Will Tripura Govt try to 'stand on its feet' ever ? or being the Northeastern State it will continue to beg money from the Central Govt ?"

MLA Ratan Lal Nath raised question whereas it is a good initiative by Central Govt for relaxating taxes below 10 lakhs, but will Tripura Govt attempt to raise the business up or it will continue to draw the funds without contribution ? "Is that mean, Central will continuously give us money... but we will not give anything in return", said Nath.

Apart from GST the issue of 13000 new posts will be highest debating issue in this Assembly Session. The talk on bogus posts created by Tripura Govt will be opposition's main topic to hit the ruling CPI-M Govt.
