AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): Even though Tripura Police has challenged to identify the person, who created a fake account in Governor Tathagata Roy’s name, but Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s 2013’s Fake Face Book account and another of 2016 yet exist in internet. The first one has now left with 23 friends including a fake FB friend named Rkj Hackr, who claimed himself as Assam University Student in his account and also went to ‘Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya R.C Ghat’. Many Lord Krishna’s pictures were uploaded in his profile but he himself called as a ‘Pakistani Hacker’. However, Manik Sakar’s that profile still exists in FB with his last status in 2013 saying “Tripura govt. Will provide beautiful girls for boys who got chance in JEE-MAIN”. The state whose Chief Minister, who is also holding the chair of the Home Minister, himself is not secure in internet, what will be the condition of the common people here one can imagine.

Fake accounts in Tripura are tremendously increasing, evenafter much complaints. There was hardly any big event, published in newspaper that Tripura Police was successful in cyber intelligence.

Young boys and girls are now victims of this unprotective caber-networks in Tripura and creating fake accounts just to target others is a child’s game now a days. Many girls having their fake accounts without their knowledge.

Cyber-crimes are very common in Tripura but there is no guarantee that police will help a person / victim in cyber security and push the culprits into jail. Just because it's Governor's account the Dept will try its best to find out the culprits. 

The matter once again stressed when Tripura Police has launched a probe into the opening of a fake Facebook account in the name of state Governor Tathagata Roy. Eventhough police, "The Tripura Police has a wing of cyber crime. We believe that we will soon get a breakthrough into the offence”, but in reality the police has been unsuccessful in identifying CM’s FB account creator.

However, fact can’t be denied that police can not much, until the Home Ministry wakes up from deep sleep.

In 2016, there was another account in CM’s name which still exists as the Chief Minister of India, the last update of the account was in June, 2016.

However, it’s to be seen how far Tripura police becomes successful to identify the culprits in Governor’s case. Even in internet one can find out Assam, Meghalaya’s cyber wing’s details, but Tripura is still lagging far behind to create such a strong network.
