AGARTALA, March 30 (TIWN): Tripura’s veteran political leader Congress MLA Birjit Sinha as a part of his immediate reaction told TIWN correspondent via phone, “We have eager sympathy for 10,323 teachers, who have lost their jobs but the people who are actually responsible for this verdict, should be punished and sent to jail. The persons were behind the illegal recruitment are the actual culprits”. Targeting Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, Sinha further said, “If Haryana Ex Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala can be sent to jail, the why our Chief Minister Manik Sarkar can not ? His cleanest, wises masks should be unmasked”. Asking Sinha whether from Congress, side they will file any case against Manik Sarkar in next few days or not, Sinha mentioned, “They have not thought about it, but time will tell everything”. This 10,323 case is now hot cake for the opposition ahead of assembly election, as Tripura Govt’s plan to delay the case upto 2018’s election has been failed now.

It was on March 6, 2017 that Supreme Court denied for any more delay to the case listing the next hearing on March 8. However, giving more 20 days for Tripura Govt lawyers and seeing the complexity of the case  on March-28; but on March-28 the hearing could not be completed and on March-29 finally the Supreme Court kept the HC judgment of 2014’s 7th May as effective.

Now opposition parties have already demanded CM’s resignation as well as the policy violators' punishment.

On the other hand, State BJP after 10,323 case’s verdict at SC, as its immediate reaction demanded Tripura Education cum Law Minister Tapan Chakraborty and Chief Minister Manik Sarkar’s resignations from their respective posts.

TMC MLA Asish Saha told TIWN, "Health and Education corruptions are the biggest crimes ever and if any shame Manik Babu has, he immediately should resign".
