AGARTALA, March 27 (TIWN): Tensions & worries running high among a larger section of Tripura teachers, whose jobs are uncertain even after 5 years of teaching in Govt Schools under Tripura Govt because Tripura High Court ruled their jobs as illegal. Tomorrow i.e. March 28th’s final hearing may uphold the High Court’s earlier verdict. In total 10,323 teachers' jobs were cancelled by Tripura High Court in May 7, 2014 after spotting corruption &irregularities in the recruitment process which deprived qualified youths for those 10323 posts. A division bench of the high court, comprising Chief Justice Deepak Gupta and Justice Swapan Chandra Das, had passed then order May 7 terminating the jobs of 10,323 school teachers after Dec 31, citing irregularities in recruitment.

But, the Supreme Court Monday in December-2014 issued stay order in HC's decision and allowed them to continue beyond Dec 31 and until the final disposal of the case.

It was expected that on January-2016 the hearing process of 10,323 teachers case will be completed, but the state govt allegedly begged on time and time which delayed the case for more than a year.

But on March-26, 2017 in a major jolt for Tripura Govt SC Divisional bench chaired by A K Goel and Uday Mesh Lalit had denied to delay the case further and said that the next hearing will be on March-8. On Govtside there was Advocate P P Rao and on behalf of 10,323 Lawyer RajibDhaon and J P Kamad were present. Salman Khurshid was on behalf of deprived unemployed youths.

But Supreme Court could not declare the final hearing as with 3 sets of teachers Job under Graduate, Under Graduate and Primary teachers the case became more critical. As a result SC again delayed the case till March 28. But, after bundles of tensions and sequences of pending hearings, now the teachers are also eyeing the final hearing on March-28, as delaying of dates can not change their fates.

On the one hand thousands of deprived youths including many became over-aged with B.Ed degree, on the other hand the teachers who already finished years of jobs, may loose their bread and butter with the hearing. One is the fight against corruption another is the corrupted systems under Tripura Communist Govt.

However, the long pending 10,323 teachers’ case re-scheduled and the haring to be held on Tuesday, unless another date is listed by Supreme Court.

Earlier Assam, Orissa Govtwere defeated in similar cases of irregularity of recruitment rules for Teachers’ post. After that in the Jut Mill case also the Tripura Govt was defeated in Supreme Court which was regarding pending wages.

That in this condition what will be the final judgment----- the 10,323 teachers are eying for it.
