Due to some hilly parts come in between the 2 Stations from sabroom to Udaipur, the tunnels need to be constructed. However, the whole project till Sabroom will be completed within 2019 and the ‘safety’ issue will be given as the utmost priority. Gohain further said the alternative rail-line was also discussed while talking to the Chief Minister and the Governor; however, fund will be sanctioned for the survey into the project.
Also, as the alternative way via Pecahrthal-Kamalpur-Dharmanagar-Agartala-Udaipur-uptoBelonia, will be brought under special survey to find out whether the routes will be appropriate or not; or there may be better ways into it, said the Minister.
Earlier, Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu during the inauguration of the 6th BG train service in Tripura via video conference from New Delhi said, “Northeast State Tripura will not be deprived of any modern technology, which will help to increase the train speed in this zone”. “Like other states Northeast State Tripura will be equally treated when it comes for service”, said Suresh Prabhu. “We are next planning to increase train speed upto 100 KM per hour”, said Prabhu.

Railway, Port-way---in every aspects the connectivity of Northeast will be introduced by modern technology”, said Prabhu.
