AGARTALA, March 21 (TIWN): Politicization of BSF activity with 12 hrs strike and accusing BSF for killing of 3 tribal ‘innocent’ villagers although seemed to began by CPI-M independently, but the political tone of tribal regional parties are tuning now in CPI-M’s tone. This was a master stroke by Melarmath party heads which not only generated sympathy among the tribals for CPI-M, but it drew the attention of regional parties. With a surprise N C Debbarma claimed that Tripura Govt sat in meeting after this incident in the presence of Tribal leaders and Govt is fully against BSF. Addressing a press meet IPFT leader N C Debbarma said, “Tripura Govt has proven that the 3 tribal people were killed by BSF without any reason and among the 3 deceased one was woman who was raped by BSF jawans on March 17”. Earlier, with Tribal-Bengali clashes BJP tried to sympathize the IPFT and other regional party leaders alleging that CPI-M was the main reason behind this incident. But now CPI-M and IPFT to jointly protest against BSF alleging that BSF had raped a tribal woman and killed her.However, when media asked N C Debbarma whether they know anything about post mortem report of the woman, he said, ‘IPFT doesn’t have that report yet in hand’. On the other hand the Border Security Force (BSF) has ordered a court of inquiry into the killing of three tribals in firing by its troopers in Tripura last week.

It’s worthy to mention here that when BSF nabbed huge numbers of cattle at Sabroom Chitabari Border border around 4.30 PM on March-17 after a while the villagers (cum smugglers) heavily attacked upon BSF and the number of BSF were very less than the villagers’ number, that led BSF firing on air. But 3 smugglers were killed on spot named Man Kumar Tripura (30) Par Tripura Tripura (40) Sarala Laxmi Tripura (33).The wounded people have been identified as Shyam Kumar Tripura,  Jiban Tripura and many are eloping.

A 12 hours strike called by ruling CPI-M on the next day Sabroom Subdivision at South Tripura following clash among BSF and villagers during smuggling attacking. However, on Tuesday IPFT is holding protests across the state supporting CPI-M.
