AGARTALA, Feb 26 (TIWN): Only 4 days left when the students under TBSE will sit for Higher Secondary examination, but there is no respite from the ongoing political rallies, meeting and conferences. Almost all the bazaar corners are now occupied by the political parties. Day or night, morning or evening the politicians are now heavily busy to please the public with their speeches. Tripura ruling party CPI-M has crossed all the limits as they announced a moth wide protest regarding 5 issues, which means the month of Board examination will be dedicated by left front unions with bundles of plitcial gatherings. On Feb 22, CPI-M state secretary Bijan Dhar said, ‘Left front to kick off 1 month long protest with 5 issues’. On the other hand Tripura’s other political parties are going in full swing leaving no space for students issues. As a result resentments brewed among the students, guardians but their agonies have no political value.
Pollution Control Board is also unable to control the extreme noise and almost behaving like puppets in ruling party’s hands.
However, this is not the first time that parties accused of making noise in exam season but it has been seen that every year there are some disruption in the Board Examination. Time will be more tough for the candidates in 2018 as it will be the Assembly Election year.
According to the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, as amended in 2012, the noise level at market places between 6am to 10pm should be below 65 dB. However, a relaxation of 10 dB is also given under rule 5(4) of the same taking the upper limit to 75 dB for special occasions. Loudspeakers are not allowed after 10pm.
But it has been seen that political, religious all kinds of freedom has been given now ahead of Election-2018.
