AGARTALA, Jan 22 (TIWN): Manik Sarkar led CPI-M Govt not only provided safe harbor for various chit fund companies dubious activities across Tripura but allowed Chit fund scamsters to loot public funds. Rose Valley, Basil International, I-Core type of chit fund companies prospered in Tripura due to their regular donations to CPI-M's party fund. Tripura Govt has maintained a long silence regarding Rose Valley scam and allowing the Rose Valley park to continue free business at Agartala, but all of a sudden on Saturday the Rose Valley building which is standing beside Rabindra Bhawan was seized. Reportedly, the Sadar administration led by DCM Debashish Das had seized all the properties under Sadar on Saturday. Along with that Malabati Tea garden 207 Ekar, Bordowali Flat, Rose Valley Park all were seized. Is it to see the TMC member’s one after one getting arrested at West Bengal or at the beginning of the year when opposition party warned the CPI-Ms here for meeting the Prime Minister Modi to complain about Sarkar’s intimacy with Rose Valley Chit fund group ?

On January 5, the Tripura CID had called upon the depositors to submit documents whereas what will be done with those documents, it’s not clear.  

After the arrest of West Bengal’s Trinamool MP Sudip Banerjee, Tapas Paul vexed Trinamool leaders initiated many protests in the name of CBI inquiry’s demand in Tripura, whereas according to TMC as well as Congress the Chief CPI-M leaders are involved. On the other hand CPI-M politburos claimed that as Mamata Banerjee received a major face-loss due to the arrests of her MPs, Ministers in multiple Chit Fund cases, thus she is much worried about Tripura’s Rose Valley issues.

At Rose Valley Park,  among 100 Kani 33.14 is khas, the rest 17.5 kani is of tribals, which were taken without giving any compensation to them and ‘Khas’ always means for the government.

Whereas at West Bengal Barasat, the Rose Valley park was seized but in Tripura Tripura govt didn’t take any action against it, rather it has sheltered the park tax free business.

The tax relaxation to Rose Valley Entertainment Park since the year 2015 is continuing even though the park entry fee is Rs. 60, after entry for car parking there one has to pay more Rs. 25 and for boating it charges Rs. 125. The boating land was fully belong to the Tripura Govt’s Khash and whereas ‘No-Tax’ is given by Rose Valley park owner.

 In the year 2011-12 Rose Valley Entertainment park gave Tripura Govt Rs. 11 lakhs 8 thousand rupees tax, in the year 2012-13 it gave 9 lakhs 51 thousand, in 2013-14 it have 12 lakhs 13 thousand rupees tax, but after that no tax were taken from that park…...whereas in 14-15 Rs. 6 lakhs 89 thousand was to the total tax amount.

  Rose Valley is  7 times more ponzi scam than Sarada and country’s highest ever chit fund group, but eventhough opposition party’s raised voice to run direct CBI investigation in Tripura Rose Valley scam, but at the ruling showed never interest in it, rather it preferred Tripura Police, SIT in it.

  Tripura govt also didn’t want any CBI investigation in it. But when in that last Assembly opposition raised question, Manik Sarkar told the opposition, “……please keep patience in Chit fund case. We have to figure out the whole amount which has been looted by the chit fund companies from the common people’.

 However, after the seizing of properties, now the doubt raised further as till day no action was taken, but with the CBI inquiry fear the Tripura govt has taken final action.
