Trinamool calls for Rose Valley victims to join in mass-protest : 'Tripura is the Epi-Centre of Rose Valley; protest will be continued till CBI inquiry begins’, Asish Saha talks to TIWN

AGARTALA, Jan 20 (TIWN): ‘Doesn’t matter what is going on with other parties or other states, but the CBI inquiry against Rose Valley in Tripura was a demands for long’, said TMC President Asish Saha. ‘CBI inquiry is must as the trust among the people about Rose Valley was initiated by Tripura CM himself, whereas after the scam he is maintaining just a silent role’. Mentioning Tripura as the ‘Epi-Centre’ for Rose Valley company, Tripura Trinamool MLA Asish Saha said on Thursday that CBI and the Central Govt are fully aware about the activity done by Chit Fund groups in Tripura, as the Tripura officials who dealt with Chit Fund cases here they are now under CBI. Whereas it is propagating that Central Govt can not do anything to push CBI to inquire in Tripura, on the other hand it can sent Enforcement Department (ED) here.

“ED is now doing its own inquiry against many states of India, whereas for Tripura no inquiry has been held, eventhough oppositions are asking again and again for atleast some action against Rose Valley”, Saha added.

Referring a Supreme Court order Saha said, “The Supreme Court in WP (C) 401 /2013 (Subrata Chattoraj Vs. Union of India and others) passed order directing Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct an investigation into the affairs of the Saradha Group. In the said case it was brought to the notice of the Supreme Court that the chit-fund companies operating in the state of Orissa, Tripura and Assam also had been indulging in large scale malpractices of defrauding subscribers. The Supreme Court directed that the affairs of the chit-fund companies indulged in similar fraudulent activities should be investigated by CBI”.

However, question also raised that the wrong data sending about Rose Valley was obviously a notorious activity. If the matter comes under Central Govt. fully then what will be the condition of Tripura Finance Dept? In this regard Asish Saha said, ‘Central Govt knows everything about it’. MLA Asish Saha also sought an appointment from PM Modi, when he would discuss about the reality of Tripura’s Rose Valley history.

In  the above mentioned Supreme Court notice, Para 23 it has been written clearly, “There is yet another dimension of the scam which can not be neglected……..across State Borders is evident not only from the pleading records but also from the submission urged in the course of the arguments before us…in similar fraudulent activities in the state of Assam and Tripura…. where the depositors have suffered”.

Asish Saha further mentioned that persons like Congress MLA Ratan Lal Nath are confusing the mass as he said that Central govt has nothing to do with Rose Valley scam and CBI inquiry. Such activities of Ratan Lal Nath predicts him like either an agent of CPI-M or of BJP, claimed Saha.

However, already the case under Special Investigation Team (SIT) in Tripura going utter slow, which failed to submit the report at High Court in due time. Now CID is taking all the original documents from the investors, so that next time there should be something to show at Court.

Now it’s to be seen, finally CBI inquiry is held in Tripura or not. If CBI inquiry is held then it will be the hottest story for the new year.
