AGARTALA, Jan 18 (TIWN): Amidst protests against demonetization led by Communist Party of India, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Wednesday met various Union Ministers and held discussion on State-Center issues. Reportedly, during the meeting with Central Ministers, Sarkar expressed concern over hardship faced by people in Tripura as well as overall India. “The meetings were fruitful ,” an officials statement said. Manik Sarkar met the Central Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Ram Vilas Paswan at New Delhi on Wednesday, which has immediately hit the opposition parties in Tripura and gave them an opportunity for criticism. However, Tripura Chief Minister who is now visiting various states has met Ministers held discussion on various issues with them. But here in Tripura already question raised, why suddenly Sarkar felt it so important to become close with Central Ministers?

A Congress leader during the Protest before RBI at around 1 PM already said...whereas CPI-M nationwide is protesting against demonetization, Manik Sarkar is just silent because he is afraid of further CBI inquiry and Tax Dept’s actions against his Cabinet Ministers.

It’s worthy to mention here that whereas CPI-M walked with Trinamool in Anti-Modi fight against demonetization but on the other hand just on Tuesday Manik Sarkar blasted Mamata Banerjee for brining allegation against Tripura CPI-M for Rose Valley scam.

Bijan Dhar in his last press meet called all the oppositions to be united in Anti-Demonetization and Anti-Cashless move to down BJP Govt, but surprisingly CM during his visit at Bengaluru said that Mamata Banerjee and her Ministers are under Sarada, Narada scam and out of fear all the allegations are bringing against CPI-Ms here. CPI-M in Tripura also to protest to increase MGNREGA funds, but the RD Dept knows very well that if the unfinished work is not completed then more bad days are waiting for Tripura Govt with MGNREGA scams.

In this situation, Sarkar’s meeting with the Central Ministers have evoked much criticism in his own state.

But it’s to be seen how far the State-Centre relation goes as already under the Central Governance MGNREGA fund, SC / ST dept’s funds have been slashed. Moreover, BJP is the main opposition party here in Tripura and the Party President Biplab Deb already sent bundles of letters, held multiple meetings with the Home Minister Rajnath Singh and discussed about various law & order’s problem under CPI-M regime, whom Manik Sarkar has met today.
