AGARTALA, Jan 18 (TIWN): Rescheduling the Agartala-Udaipur train service’s inauguration programme of January 20th, NFR has declared the inauguration day on 23rd January, the day which means a huge for the Bengali society as well as for all Indians. This is the day when India’s greatest Freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born Cuttack, Orissa, the man who shared a lion’s part of solvency for India’s Independence. Thus this 23rd January will be a double celebration for Udaipur people when the first ever regular passenger service will launched with the decoration of ‘Tiranga’ at both Agartala and Udaipur railway stations.However, the Udaipur-Agartala passenger railway service was to begin its maiden journey on January 20th as a part of trial run.
Reportedly, the CRS inspection has been completed successfully in that mentioned route and now the 44.762 KM section from Agartala to Udaipur will witness the movement of passenger traffic between these two stations with the introduction of two pairs of trial special trains with the effect from 23th January, 2017.
At present the train will run 6 days in a week (Except Sunday) and the later decisions will be taken based on patronization received.
The two years of Modi Governance has boosted Tripura’s railway connectivity and soon the connection will complete the distance till South Tripura.
