AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Unakoti District’s various embezzlements, Manik Sarkar led Tripura CPI-M Govt’s organized corruptions once again exposed when State BJP undertook a field survey of various projects which are completed in paper but fact is either they are half-done or barely followed Central Govt’s construction guidelines. During a visit on Tuesday, Tripura BJP State President on inspected various places at Unakoti Dist, which resulted into horrifying experience of unfinished works and massive Govt sponsored scams. At Bilashpur Panchayat of Fatikroy mandal a bridge constructed under PWD was found fully collapsed even before it was inaugurated. That incident has created massive resentment among the common people at there. But what surprising is that the State govt has taken no action after this horrifying episode, neither any actions against corrupt PWD Engineers, officials .

Crores were sanctioned for the construction works of Unakoti district but this mishap once again proves the poor work-quality of PWD under CPI-M Govt. 

BJP State President told the media that this is how the CPI-M Govt is looting the allocated funds from the Centre, but whenever comes for developments of State, Manik Sarkar says, ‘No-Funds’! 

Also the State Govt  Ministers, CM Manik often complain that due to fund crisis, the State development has been stopped, whereas the reality is something else, Deb said.

CPI-M Govt which is ruling for 23 yrs can not provide security to the Citizens also, neither any developments or quality in State’s development’,  Deb added.

After that, Biplab Deb met the Unakoti District DM Pramatha Ranjan Bhattacharjee,  and raised the issue of bridge collapse and PWD corruption. The BJP Chief further asked to re-construct the work as fast as possible.

It’s worthy to mention here that Modi’s Act East Policy is under heavy challenges due to the massive corruption across Tripura’s various Departments.

The Union Govt. has initiated mega road and highway expansion / upgradation, but at the end of the NE Industry Summit held from Sep 21 to Sep 23, it was reported that the overall progress has been very slow & Northeast Ring has still remained just as a concept. 

But Tripura being ruled by CPI-M since 23 years, is acting like a rebel to the Prime Minister & his all policies. Whereas due to corruption in PWD the roadways are left in miserable shape in Tripura, but when the Central Govt. is trying to help the state will better connectivity due to non-cooperation it’s not happening in reality.

On the ending day of NE Industry Summit on Sep 23rd, it was said that although railway, port-ways are easing travelling, but the lifeline to business & commerce are the Highways, which are traditionally known as the shortcut common ways for trade.

It was also said by experts that the long term potential for Northeastern States to be connected seamlessly via road networks internally as well as externally

1) Internally among the 8 state capitals through a Northeast Ring Road

2) Externally with Asian Highway Network. 

But all these seems distant dreams as CPI-M led organized corruption has gripped the whole state, leaving no mercy for the common peoples daily lives even though luxury-loving Manik Sarkar hopping in Helicopters.
