AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Who will explain the reason behind Tripura massive 7 lakhs unemployment and poverty under CPI-M rule of 23 yrs ? What developments the Communist Policy has done in Tripura ? What benefit has Tripura people received after 2 decades long of rule by CPI-M here? Whereas everywhere there are unemployment, poverty, corruption, MGNREGA deprivation, massive embezzlement with central funds are occupying the state, but Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar during a blood donation camp held at Tripura Commission for Women’s programme said on Tuesday that due to the bad economic policy of the Central Govt the poverty and hunger have gripped the whole country. Explaining the reason behind lack of hemoglobin among women, Sarkar said that atleast 70 to 72 % people in India can not earn Rs. 25 per day, so how the nutrition growth will be developed among them? “The poverty day to day is victimizing the women section of the society”, said Sarkar. Further criticizing the Central Policy he said, “The policy made at Centre is made for the Elite society, exploiting the poor people’s lives".

“Citizens should have basic living facility, but if a person’s earning is Rs. 20 to 25 then the number of deaths will automatically increase. Before independence freedom fighters fought for not only geographical freedom, but they also wanted to recreate a new society with economic full freedom. But unfortunately, evenafter 70 yrs of independence the condition remained as it is”, Sarkar added.

However, proceeding towards his speech he said that Tripura Govt is doing everything for the progress of women in the society. The mothers of two daughters are giving with Rs 800- so that they can give their children basic education.

It’s worthy to mention here that whereas CM was exemplifying the instances of the undeveloped country even-though before 70 years the country got freedom, on the other hand  Tripura being ruled by a same govt since 23 years of life has failed to develop.

The poverty rate is high here, the GDP rate is the lowest in the state among all the states and the unemployment number has touched 7 lakhs. In this condition criticising the centre may not bring any solution to the problem.
