AGARTALA, Jan 09 (TIWN): Tripura DGP K Nagraj now a days busy in painting his corrupt image clean, also on a mission to twist facts into fictions. CBI charsgesheeted DGP’s ‘analysis’ of crime status in Tripura and matching the tally of crime rate with other states doesn’t follow any logic other than praising ‘golden era’ of CM Manik Sarkar. DGP is proven lunatic again on the 28th Road-Safety week observation whenn K Nagraj said, “Tripura’s accident rates have drastically decreased, whereas the number of deaths have increased here”. In clarification of accident-rate Nagraj also said, “… the deaths have many causes as reckless driving & giving medical relief in time”. However, Nagraj further said that at Supreme Court also it has been clarified that if a person takes an injured man to hospital for the sake of saving his life the helper will not be come under police investigation. ‘Against his / her will no question will be asked by police’, Nagraj said. Nagraj’s confession to increasing number of accident-deaths in Tripura directly relate to poor roads and worst traffic management.

“The latest the accident occurred at Amtali when a scooty was collided with a huge truck. Debashish Debbarma & Ganguli Debbarma died in that fatal accident due to their reckless driving. Due to reckless driving two teenagers died…”, Nagraj added. However, the DGP also failed to give a correct data here with the 1st accident of 2017 as none of those 2 deceased were teen agers.

Boosting further about Tripura’s accident rates decreasement Nagraj said, whereas at National level per lakhs accident is 39, whereas in Tripura is only 19. In death rates its 11.5 but at Tripura its 4.5”.

“The number of police in compare with the population is very less. So it’s public’s duty how to protect themselves from accidents and other crimes. As reckless driving killed the two

On the other hand the principal secretary Sriram Tarnikanti  said that National Highway’s bad condition is responsible for the fatal accidents, but neither the Transport Minister Manik Dey nor Nagraj stressed the issue.

The Transport Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik also buttering his minister he said now the number of bikes are more than vehicles and this is the reason of accidents.

However, the Transport Minister Manik Dey, DGP K Nagraj, Principal Secretary Sriram Tarnikanti, Transport Secretary Samarjit Bhowmik, AMC Mayor Prafullajit Sinha, S R Das, SP Traffic, SP West Abhijit Saptarshi remained present on that occasion.

Apart from the principal secretary Sriram Tarnikanti nobody talked in unbiased way and were busy to hide the crime rate increasing in state.
