AGARTALA, Sep 27 (TIWN): After Tripura Assembly’s 2nd session ended, it is clear now that on July 31st no chargesheet was submitted by SIT in Tripura High Court due to Manik Sarkar Govt’s active involvement in Chit-Fund scams. In total, 70 Chit Fund cases have been reported from Tripura but surprisingly, there is no push for action from the State Govt to SIT, neither State Govt wanted any direct CBI inquiry into it. As per Assembly data, it was cleare that out of 70 cases, not a single chargesheet was submitted to High Court on July 31st. Tripura Pradesh Congress organized protest rallies demanding to return people’s money which they lost after investing with Chit Fund groups in Tripura and in each and every subdivisional headquarters Congress protested on Sep 21st”. The Rose Valley, which is 7 times more than Sarada has looted Tripura’s people miserably. Years and years have been passed, but the case is getting complicated & in Tripura, state’s Chief Minister’s name also came under allegation. Already High Court Chief Justice T. Vhaipai ordered SIT to submit fresh affidavit to court.

Earlier Tripura High Court had expressed its displeasure over functioning of Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to investigate the cheating cases of Non Banking Financial Companies (NBFC) in the state.

But the High court appointed SIT team remained non-functional  as it was earlier also proven  that in 2015 Tripura Police SIT team how for show off went to Kolkata, wasted lots of Govt money for the investigation drama. It was also informed that SIT official Sameer Ray and another member SIT attended a tea party arranged by Bijoy Kilkdar, a senior official of Rose Valley.

Recently, talking to Minister Bijita Nath, who was a former Rose Valley agent, also her brother Dolon Kanti Nath, who recently committed suicide she said, “We do not have any objection if CBI inquiry is held in Tripura, and already CBI is countrywide investigating the case”. TIWN further asked her, “What about the victims of the case ? Will they get back their  money, as you are also a victim of that Chit fund…”?, Nath replied, “The money returning issue actually I can not say, and it’s not my Dept. that I can personally interfere in it, but this is only to the Finance Dept, who are looking after the whole cash matter”.

It’s worthy to mention here, not only Bijita Nath, but Tripura Chief Minister himself also came into allegation for having his direct link with the Chit Fund company. Manik Sarkar however rejected all the allegations and said, “I have no link with Rose Valley Chit Fund, as I just attend the inauguration programme as that time nobody knew that it’s a chit fund company”.

CBI at West Bengal’s didn’t bothered to send ruling party Leaders like Madan Mitra into jail for 21 months. But under Manik Sarkar’s era, CBI inquiry is just getting delayed. If Manik Sarkar was wise enough & so called poor people’s leader, then why he didn’t raise any voice against Rose Valley Chit fund, which was the highest ever chit fund in the whole country.

Already under Tripura Police and SIT the investigation has been unsatisfactory, but CPI-M Ministers anyhow trying to end the Rose Valley issue in Tripura, which was one of the most shameful incident under Communist Era.

Tripura police’s loose investigation, SIT’s unsatisfactory performance have already ended the case.
