AGARTALA, July 29 (TIWN): Although BJP state president one day back claimed that the Agartala-Delhi express train will be inaugurated on August 1 and also circulated a press release, again on Thursday claimed that the date is being stick to July31 as Bangladesh delegates preferred for the inauguration on July 31.

Giving a wise cover up after suffering a face loss BJP state president Biplab Deb said that the it was decided with Union Railway minister that the inauguration will be done on August1 but as the Bangladesh delegates have preferred July31 the inauguration will be done onjuly31.

Putting the blame on the shoulder of the Bangaldesh delegates BJP state president staged a cover-up and said that the date is once again fixed to July31 as the delegates are willing to arrive on July31.  

The Union Minister for Railway Suresh Prabhu has also sealed the name of the BG train as 'Tripurasundari Express', said Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader who also added that the BJP president Biplab Deb has recently met with Prabhu regarding the inauguration of the train service where as the name is yet to  be confirmed .

It is to be mentioned here that along with senior BJP leader Sunil Deodar has also met Minister for state railway and also the in-charge of railway project in Northeast Rajen Gohain in Delhi and issued the possibilities of connecting other major cities like Khowai, Kailasahar, Sonamura and Belonia with the Agartala rail service once it starts. Gohain agreeing to the proposal has directed the Chief Manager for railway northeast to finalize the report in this regard and send it to the Ministry at the earliest.

Besides, the BJP leader said that earlier the inauguration of the BG train service was scheduled to be held on July 31 but due to some official reason it has been postponed and the inauguration would now took place on August 1 where as once again it was confirmed that Express train will be inaugurated on July31.

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) is all set to launch the broad-gauge passenger train service from Agartala to other parts of the country across Assam.

Prabhu would stay for three days in the Northeast to inaugurate various railway services. "He will be in Imphal on July 30, in Agartala onJuly 31 and on August 1 in Kohima in connection with the inauguration of various railway services in the Northeast.

Similarly, work on the 15km Agartala-Akhaura railway line was pending and now that land acquisition on both sides is over the railway minister will lay the foundation stone of the railway connectivity. This track is being financed by the Centre at the cost of Rs 252 crores,
