AGARTALA, May 31 (TIWN): A cultural programme was held in honour of the representatives of North East Region Commonwealth Parliamentray Association on Tuesday.

The programme was held at Najrul Kalakshetra, Agartala from 7 pm.

It’s held in the occasion of  three day long 15th Annual conference of Northeast India's assembly speakers, which inaugurated on Tuesday morning at 10.45AM at Tripura assembly in the presence of CM Manik Sarkar.

The participants include speakers, deputy speakers of seven of the eight northeastern states excluding Assam, some legislators and parliamentarians, Tripura governor, chief minister and parliamentary affairs minister.             

So in honour of the representatives, including the   Lok sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan who arrived in the state on Monday the programme the evening programme was held.

Various traditional dances, songs representing various North Eastern States were performed by various artists on that occasion.
