AGARTALA, May 31 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Tuesday hoisted a courtesy meet with LS Speaker Sumitra Mahajan who arrived in the state for attending the NERCPA meet.
As CM Manik Sarkar was out station could not meet the speaker and hence hoisted a courtesy meet with LS Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Tuesday.
Sumitra Mahajan, who is the 16th Lok Sabha speaker of India, arrived in the state on Monday to inaugurate 15th Annual conference of North East region commonwealth parliamentary association (NERCPA) from Monday (30th May to 2nd June 2016) in Tripura.
However, the speaker of Lok Sabha is staying at Raj Bhawan.
