Conspiracy (?) Against CPI-M from Raj Bhawan : Central Ministers not caring about state's development ! Is MP Jiten forced to express CPI-M's anxiety over the uprising of BJP ?

AGARTALA, May 30 (TIWN): After the two day long CPI-M state committee meeting CPI-M state Secretary Bijan Dhar expressed that while the Congress is growing weaker and weaker in the state , BJP is making its presence very strongly . This remark was an indication that CPI-M is really tensed over the uprising of BJP. The same view has been expressed by CPI-M MP Jitendra Choudhury on Sunday when he was addressing the State Conference of CPI-M's employees' wing Tripura Gov't Gov't Employees' Association ( TGEA) in the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhawan . MP Jitendra Choudhury made a controversial remark when he blamed that conspiracy is being hatched from the Raj Bhawan against the Left Front. Though MP Jitndra Choudhury did not mention the name of the Governor of Tripura Tathagata Roy but his indication was clear that the blame is against the Governor.

It is to be mentioned here that Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy was the former state BJP President of West Bengal. Earlier Governor  P B Acharya too was from RSS background.

During his tenure as the Governor P B Acharya took the initiative when he called upon the victim of Tata Kalibari incident Soma Majumder to the Raj Bhawan and hearing from her the details of torture imposed on her by CPI-M cadres instructed the DGP Tripura to take appropriate action against the guilty. Recently the Fast Track Court announced punishment against the accused.

After him the current Governor Tathagata Roy too has been pro-active . As usual for CPI-M the activities of the Governor have not been favourable. Earlier CPI-M party led by its honest (?) CM Manik Sarkar used to manage the Governors to remain silent over the misrule of the state gov't. Things are different now and quite naturally CPI-M is not happy with all such things.

In the opening session of the  state conference of TGEA, MP Jitendra Choudhury made controversial remark against the Governor in a round about way but surprisingly he did not utter a single word about the huge gap of DA between state employees and the employees of the Central Gov't. State employees in Tripura are now having the lowest pay structure in the country and the even in the North Eastern state percentage of DA is the lowest in Tripura. Jitendra Choudhury too followed the policy of his party by not making any comment on this issue but tried to divert the attention of the delegates of TGEA to other irrelevant issues.

MP Jiten also made a surprising allegation against the Central Ministers' attitude. He said ," Recently the Central Ministers are frequent visitors to the state. But they do not seem to be interested about the development of the state or about the ongoing development activities in Tripura. Instead the Central Ministers in Tripura are campaigning for RSS . "

It is to be mentioned here that Modi Gov't has initiated the Act East Policy and as part of this programmes the ministers of different departments of Gov't of India have been asked by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to travel to the North Eastern states on regular intervals to supervise the development programmes in the NE regions. And it is because of Act East Policy the works in the field of railway and construction of NH 44( Double laning ) are now in full swing. Even after the Plenary Session of NEC Prime Minister instructed the DoNER Ministry to see that the ongoing Agartala-Akhaura 14km BG rail network gets completed as per scheduled time. Immediately DoNER Ministry sanctioned Rs 150 crore for the land acquisition on the Indian parts and other initial works. Actually CPI-M led LF Gov't in Tripura is going through a phase of massive corruption and irregularities. BJP is making huge campaign across the state making the people aware of these. Even on 27th May state BJP President Biplab Deb met with the OSD of Prime Minister's Office and produced before him the detailed statistics of the corruption and misappropriation of Centrally sponsored funds especially on MGNREGA. Again Biplab Deb complained how central funds are being diverted to other sectors for petty political benefits of the ruling party.

All these activities of BJP made CPI-M worried. Moreover, after the historic win in Assam , BJP is surely looking forward to bloom its saffron flower even in Tripura. Accordingly BJP celebrated party's win in all sub-divisions . Everyday more and more voters, mostly from CPI-M , including some of their leaders are joining hands with BJP. Worried with the uprising of BJP , CPI-M has decided to strengthen its campaign against the BJP , considering it as their main enemy.

Thus, MP Jitendra Choudhury's comment against Raj Bhawan and Central Ministers too is a part of his party's political agenda. Interestingly CPI-M leaders of Tripura - from CM Manik Sarkar to MP Jitendra Choudhury and Sankar Prasad Datta - whenever they go to Delhi do their beat to appease Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and other ministers for fund sanction to the state. Modi govt too has been sincerely looking after the development of Tripura. But when these leaders come to Tripura , they start to blame the Centre simply to befool the people of the state.

As such in the state conference of TGEA , CPI-M leaders gave the employees, alleged to be acting like CPI-M cadres, lessons of RSS threat and conspiracy against Left Front being framed from the Raj Bhawan. Unfortunately , during his long speech MP Jiten did not utter a single word sympathising with their present horrible situation regarding salary and other allowances and facilities. Apart from salary and other allowances employees of West Bengal Gov't decided in December 2015 that from 1-1-2016

•State Govt Employees will get Leave Travel Concession (LTC) every 10 (ten) years to travel within the country and to foreign countries like Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Myanmar and Maldives.

•Govt has decided to widen the benefit of Home Travel Concession (HTC) to State Govt Employees every 5 (five) years to travel Home within the State.

In Tripura these are still day dream.
