AGARTALA, March 29 (TIWN): Railway safety commissioner Sailesh Kumar Pathak on Tuesday in a press meet at the guest house of Agartala railway station said that there is no problem in the Agartala-Kumarghat railway track and is all set to toll the train soon. He further said that superfast trains can be introduced if landslides are taken care of.
Praising the local authorities in a press meet, Railway safety commissioner Sailesh Kumar Pathak said that the State government has shown equal co-operation in connecting Tripura with BG rail service (even though a quick fact-check shows CPI-M aligned contractors supplied poor construction materials, causing collapse of newly constructed Railway Platforms at Dharmanangar).
He further applauded the initiative of the NFR authority for completing the work in the given stipulated time and even much before that. One the train starts service it will run in a speed of 120KM per hour. Discussing about his observation he also added that the track alignment between Agartala-Kumarghat routes is perfect and there is no problem at all. Modern track formation techniques are adopted in the transformation of the track from MG to BG. Criticising the deplorable condition of the NH44, he said that railway connectivity can much relief from the day to day poor transportation system.

However, it has become possible to transform the MG to BG track only because of the look east policy of PM Narendra Modi.

However, inspection to track in Udaipur will be done by second week of April.  It is to be mentioned here that inspection to the Badarpur-Kumarghat route will begin tomorrow, added Pathak.  Minor challenges will be adequately dealt.

However, the Railway Safety Commissioner reached here in Agartala with his team and started the inspection for the safety run of the train under his direct supervision.

The safety inspection is the last step in facilitating commissioning of the route, which connects Tripura with other parts of the country. Though the gauge conversion works were completed month ago, the safety inspection was delayed, raising concern among train commuters.

According to Railway sources, the mandatory final safety inspection would be conducted by experts for at least 6 days. Railways can run services on the route only after the safety inspection and certification by the CRS.

Depending on the report of CRS inspection the train will be set to run on the tracks.

It is to be mentioned here that the inspection had began from morning 11 and will be carried out in 9 trolleys.   Even three trolleys are also brought at Agartala.

Apart from the CRS inspection the track is all set to run the train; however the train cannot be rolled until it gets CRS clearance.
