AGARTALA, Feb 12 (TIWN) : The 14 years tribal girl who was brutally raped and tried to commit suicide by taking poison has now become one of the major issues of discussion among political parties and similar organizations. BJP has already donated Rs 1 lakh to the victim and announced it via press conference and candle march of Wednesday has become the hit story in capital city, but Tripura CM is still silent over the issue.

Tripura has been well popular with the honor of the ‘Peaceful’ state and CM here boosts a lot about his well maintained administration. However, the truth is that the victims and leaders all are silent about the crime rates increasing in the state.

The 14 year tribal girl who is fighting with death every moment at GB hospital came to disclose when Union Minister Giriraj came to visit her. Minister on that day termed state Tripura “a state with Jungle Raj”, where voice and protest can not bring justice to the victims.

However, after the discloser and media’s focused on that issue immediately political parties got close with her misery. BJP is boosting its party before the election by giving donation of 50,000/- to her family. Common people held candle light march on the streets of Agartala. But question arises, will all these bring any affect to the crime rate of the state.

People of Tripura are happy with the imaginary idea about Tripura’s peacefulness. But everyday rapes and murders have become a common part of Tripura’s daily life. Lives seem to have no value at all. Accidents are increasing rapidly, but police in everyway has failed to tackle the problems of such a small state.

However, Tripura CM who is presently, busy with election campaigns, has not yet made any comment over that issue. He is busy with his chopper ride schedule as the ADC election is ahead.

On Thursday CM has visited Khedachera Halipad, North Tripura Distict and delivered his speech at there. Here he told the mass about the problems which were created in Tripura during CPM’s absence as the ruling Govt. But CM kept numb over the issue of rape.

Reportedly on Republic day 2016, the tribal girl was brutally raped  when was returning home with her brother. Two accused Sudhir Debbarma and Athens Debbarma attacked them in Chachu Bazar area in Mohanpur. After locking the brother in one room, the accused tied the girl to a mobile tower and raped her. She chose death as her destiny and tried to commit suicide.

But after so much brutality and tortures, ruling party claims that Tripura is a peaceful state and thus people should vote for CPM.
