AGARATALA, Oct 31 (TIWN): Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Friday inaugurated the new housing complex for the 32 harijans family at IGM lane to facilitative them with the basic necessities of life.
Addressing the inauguration program, CM Manik Sarkar said that left front is always with the poor section of the society and in the coming days left front will always look forward to the development of the poor people.
Speaking at the meeting he stressed on the issue to eradicate poverty from Tripura for the development of the state.

Poverty is the prime source of all evils, whether political, social or economic. Poverty has brought about political revolutions, moral degeneration and economic upheavals. A nation of hungry and starving millions cannot preserve its integrity and independence for long.
The gap between the rich and the poor should be reduced, though this is not easily possible. This involves well-directed efforts on the part of the government and also the active co-operation of the rich and the poor. The rich must be prepared to make sacrifices and reduce their consumer expenditure, and the poor must be prepared to work hard for improving their lot, added Sarkar.
It is to be mentioned here that newly launched four storey building has 24 flats and the selection process of the flats were chosen through lottery system for 32 harijan family.
The construction of the building began in the year 2007 with an estimated budget of 3.52 lakhs but with price hike the budget after completion of the building stands at 3.90 lakhs.
