Education Minister’s absence at District Level CCE programme; Education or Industry ? In which field Tapan Chakroborty has interest?
TIWN

AGARTALA / UDAIPUR, August 30 (TIWN): Although Manik Sarkar’s Govt. boasts Tripura having the highest literary status all over India but in reality Tripura Govt.miserably failed to provide “quality-education” in the state. Not only that, Chief Minister has chosen such a useless person for the post of Education Minister which was proven once again when Minister Tapan Chakraborty remained absent in a very important programme at Udaipur Rajarshi Townhall, organised by Gomati District Education Office. This programme was about CCE (Continuous and Comrehensive Evalution) which has been very recently added as within the curriculam of TBSE. According to the officials, Tapan Chakroborty has confirmed his participation and this important programme was held for all the Head Masters (HM) of schools in Gomati Dist., but Education Minister’s sudden absence marred the programme. However, SCERT Director Ratish Majumder, Gomati DM Sonal Goel, ADC Principal Secretary Nilmoni Debbarma tried to managed the programme but Minister’s absence spoiled the goal of the programme. All the HMs of primary, High, Higher Secondary schools of Gomati District were present in this important programme to hear Education Minister on CCE.

It is to be mentioned that state govt.officials are eager to launch many advanced methods of teaching and process, but as the Education Minister seems ignorant about the new methods and often shows lack of seriousness in those new education projects. One of such projects is CCE which had been started at Tripura and added with the curriculum evaluation System from  January 1, 2015.

Many times issues raised  that Tripura Education system is not following CCE properly. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation refers to a system of school based assessment that covers all aspects of student’s development.

Maximum schools of Tripura schools are suffering badly due to shortage of teachers, and for rural area schools CCE system is far reach to be understood.

Tripura Education system is suffering badly whether it comes on Mid-day-meal issue or Teachers’ salary, and the cause behind this is nothing but only the Education Minister’s blind and deaf attitude towards education in Tripura.

To understand the real CCE progamme, one has to be trained and trained teachers are very lessin Govt Schools, statistics says.

Someof the major problems in Tripura's Education system are:

  1. Lesson Planning:                                              : In Tripura govt schools whithout making lesson plan  classes go on,
  2. Sufficient Treachers in every departments   : Tripura rural schools are badly suffering from Teacher-shartage.
  3. Student Centric Teaching:                              : Tripura govt. teaachers have maintain well the corporal punishment.
  4. Use of Teaching Aids:                                      :Teachers without training never heard about this.
  5. Standard Mid-day-meal                                 : Issues of Mid-day-meal and proper food not served.

It’s worthy to mention here that Tripura Education sytem needs to be revamped.

Also Education Minster should know and show interest in each and everything related to Education

Tapan Chakroborty is also the minister of Industry and Commerce, but in programmes related to indusrty he has habit of “Not Attending” the occasion.

Neither after 2 decades of CPI-M rule, any Industrial growth is visible.

Question arises, what is Chakroborty is doing with the Education dept. and Dept. of Industry and Commerce if he doesn’t show any interest ?

A noted Industrialist from Mumbai recently commented after meeting Tapan Chakraborty that " sitting half hour front of Minister itself was a torture as Minister knows nothing about Industry".

Manik Sarkar's golden rule continues  in Tripura.............
