AGARTALA, August 27 (TIWN): Union Minister Babul Supriya’s comments against Tripura’s ruling CPI-M, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar for possessing autocratic attitude, endless corruptions has created pique among the ruling party leaders at Melarmath. Babul Supriya while addressing a press meet at BJP office, Agartala, mentioned that CPI-M in Tripura, would not hold long its ruling position if it doesn’t not change its “dictatorship attitude”. However, talking to TIWN, CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said in reaction that “BJP and Cong. have no right to talk about democracy, they are far away from democracy”Bijan Dhar further mentioned that in Tripura’s history, it’s only CPI-M who has maintained the real democracy. Not only in India, but marxists have always maintained the level of democratic attitude and bearing a “Hinduism” mentality BJP has no right to blame CPI-M. However, praising Prime Minister Modi, Babul Supriya while addressing a press meet at BJP party office, “Modi is the first PM who is keenly interested to develop North Eastern States and Tripura State govt. should co-operate central govt. rather than criticizing it”. Countering Babul Supriyo’s comment, Dhar added that, Modi is doing nothing but just violating the special category of NE states. State CPI-M’s intense worry and frustrations were reflected from the response of State Secretary as BJP is on a mission to develop North Eastern States and increase vote banks across all North Eastern States.

As per Dhar, “just to propagate party’s acceptability, BJP has recently showing such a keen interest in NE states.  Babul Supriyo needs further study to understand what is the ground reality”.

“It was only till 1977, that NE states has been taken care by the centre, after that NE states has been deprived badly”, said Bijan Dhar to TIWN.

However it’s worthy to mention here that as elections are near, so all political parties are in pro-active mode propagating own party agendas.

Keeping in view of the AMC and Nagar panchayat polls, BJP has warmly welcomed Union Minister for State for urban development Babul Supriyo on Wednesday.

Praising Modi, Babul Supriyo further mentioned that CPI-M should change it’s anti-people activity towards the masses. He pinched that the Tripura CM Manik Sarkar is somehow failed to develop the state after the rule of two decades with endless corruptions.

In his address, Babul Supriyo also highlighted the disruptions led by the Congress in Parliament which stalled the passing of GST and Land Acquisition Bill. He also pointed out the failures of the Left Front government despite its regime in the state for more than a decade.

Union Minister Babul Supriyo while speaking to media persons at BJP office  greeted Tripura people and urged them to strengthen BJP and elect BJP in the upcoming elections.

However a mass-gathering started at 3 pm at Paradise Chowmuhani, besides BJP State observer Sunil Deodhar was also addressed  the rally. Thousands of people gathered to see Babul Supriya, who is well-famous as a singer also. Babul Supriya entertained the masses by singing songs at there.

Overall, BJP’s inroads in Tripura directly impacting ruling CPI-M’s vote bank which is causing sleepless nights for Melarmath party bosses.
