KAMALPUR, MAR. 23 (TIWN): Yet another incident of women-related crime took place in the golden regime in which a government employee namely Shyamal Deb (55) molested a minor girl of 11 years of age at his residence last evening. The family of the minor girl lodged a complaint with the police. However, the accused absconded.

According to the locale and the police, the daughter and class-VI student of Harerkhola High School Pratima (name changed) went to the house of one government employee Shyamal Deb of the same area Harerkhola last evening. After a while, Pratima reached her residence in a devastated manner and told her parents that, Shyamal had touched and pressed her vaginal parts in order to hug her. Then when the family members contacted Shyamal over telephone he denounced all the allegations. Then the family of Pratima lodged a complaint against Shyamal with Kamalpur Police Station. However, Shyamal absconded from early morning today.

Meanwhile, in a twist, the leaders and members of Democratic Women’s Samity conducted a protest rally in protest of it. They gave deputation with the police demanding stringent and early action. However, many smell a rat in the incident because of the hyper-activity of the Women’s organization, which remains in slumber during more heinous crimes against women in the state.
