AGARTALA, Oct 18 (TIWN): Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma on Saturday criticized political groups who are trying to portray Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha as anti-Tiprasa.

“This Chief Minister is doing so much for the tribal population. But a group of people are trying to misguide the people in a different direction,” he said. “They are spreading rumors to confuse the masses.”

“We will not let this happen. We are on the field and we will remain in the field,” said Debbarma.

The Minister’s statement came after controversy erupted over CM Manik Saha’s statement regarding the Reang community’s ancestral region and history.
