AGARTALA, January 29 (TIWN): “There lies a good prospects and possibilities for industries in Tripura and the same can be made more good if central government help usâ€, said Industries & Commerce (I&C) minister Tapan Chakraborty , today, while speaking on the occasion of inauguration of Industries and Commerce fair,2015.
The minister has further devised the operation of Kailasahar and Kamalpur airports so that the transportation becomes smoother.
Raising the example of Palatana’s power sharing with Bangladesh, the minister has remarked that Tripura has many untapped industrial opportunities.
The 25th Industries and Commerce fair has started here today at Hapania International fair ground. Minister of Industries and Commerce Tapan Chakraborty has inaugurated the fair in the presence of MP Sankar Prasad Dutta, MLA Raj Kumar Choudhury, AMC Mayor Dr. Prafullajit Sinha and Director of Industries and Commerce Pravin L. Agarwal.
Altogether one hundred and sixty three stalls are to display and trade their products and articles in the commerce fare this year. Interestingly, the fair is to assume international appearances 38 stalls from neighboring Bangladesh will mark its presence. Besides, out of state stalls from Uttar Praedesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Assam will also participate. The fare will go on from 2 PM to 8 PM and it would last till next February 9.
