High Court orders CID for conducting DNA test on graveyard deadbody : HC seeks report within 3 months; CID team will be sent soon on spot, says SP (CID)

AGARTALA, January 24 (TIWN): With another burden for the state CID department, the Tripura High Court recently showing displeasure over the role of the CID department passed its order to conduct DNA test of a dead body by recovering it from a graveyard. The HC passed an order on the basis of 2011 kidnap case. The high court later seeks the DNA report within three months from now. However talking to TIWN today SP (CID) Sanjoy Roy said that though the department has not yet received the notice of the High Court but a team led by a DSP rank officer will be visiting spot soon to conduct the procedure of the recovery of the deadbody from the graveyard.

The High Court chaired by the Chief Justice Deepak Gupta in its recent order to the SP CID and IG (Law and Order) on 2011 kidnap case asked to conduct a DNA test of a dead body after recovering it from a graveyard located at Karimganj area under the Assam state.

It is to be mentioned here that during 28 May, 2011 a teacher named as Ashish Shome alias Tinku Master was allegedly kidnapped by some miscreants lead by accused Hussain Ahmed from Kanchanpur.
But the family members has never got back their Ashish till today even after paying a ransom amount of Rs. 27 to 30 lakh to the kidnappers to set Ashish free.
Family members of kidnapped Ashish Shome lodged an FIR with the Kanchanpur Police station and later the case was handed over with the CID department.
It is also mentionable here that during the investigation of the case one Hussain Ahmed who was reportedly a business partner of Ashish Shome was accused and was produced before the High Court during the hearing of the case.
Accused Hussain Ahmed was bailed from the court and till today he is under bail.Accused Hussain Ahmed, a business partner of kidnapped Ashish Shome is a resident of karimganj.
A couple of days back a dead body was reported to be buried in the graveyard, and the family members of the kidnapped Ashish suspected the body to be of Ashish Shome.
However, later the HC Chief Justice Deepak Gupta expressed displeasure over the role of the CID in this case recently passed an order to the SP (CID) and IG (Law & Order) to conduct a DNA test of the buried dead body at the graveyard of Karimganj.
HC also seeking a DNA report within three months from now.
However the family members of Ashish now awaits for the last ride of the CID department of the state. It is mentionable here that the family members of the Ashish Shome earlier alleged that the CID has played a negative role to bring Ashish Shome free from the hand of the kidnappers.
