AGARTALA, May 15 (TIWN): Another new angle has come out in 10323 teachers' issue that can secure 10323 teachers' jobs if the State Govt wants. Calling a press conference, 10323 teachers on Monday appealed to the Tripura Govt to restore their jobs. The terminated teachers said, they will file a contempt case against the Govt if it does not restore their jobs. According to 10323 teachers, High Court in 2021, November 30, had directed Tripura Govt to restore the 10323 teachers' jobs as the Court had given liberty to the Govt, asking further the 10323 teachers to “seek” the restoration properly. 10323 teachers said that even after crossing more than a year, neither Govt nor any petitioner has appealed against the issue or appealed for the Govt’s action.

10323 teachers also said, at that time no lawyer was helping the 10323 teachers to take the matter forward but now this issue will be raised and if Tripura Govt does not take action, then after 15 days they will be bound to file a ‘contempt case’ against the Govt.

Also, 10323 teachers had shown Govt has committed partiality by issuing show-cause notices to science teachers based on the same judgment but not issuing notices to the rest of 462 teachers among 10323 teachers. Now, all 10323 teachers including the 462 against whom the case was filed, everyone’s jobs have to be restored, demanded the 10323 teachers.

It can be mentioned here, unlike West Bengal job scandals, in Tripura 10323 teachers’ appointments no scandal could be proven, no financial exchanges and also no official was brought under legal quarries over 10323 teachers matter. But teachers have been only victimized citing ‘irregularities’ in recruitment.
