AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Tripura BJP's infighting has caused blood-shed in the state many times earlier also and today Jahar Shil (35) who was beaten up by BJP Mandal workers at Kalyanpur was referred to GB hospital due to his failing health has left in serious condition. Talking to Jahar Shil's brother, he said that on 8th June when his family members including Jhutan were busy in watching TV, suddenly BJP Mandal workers rushed to their home in a huge number. Without any talk, they started beating Jahar Shil saying he is working under BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barman. Sudip Roy Barman's followers are distributing statewide free rations to the needy people and after Jahar Shil had joined the programme, reportedly he was severely beaten up. 

At first he was sent to Kalyanpur hospital and from there he was referred to GB hospital. Police did not take any action even though a complaint was lodged.

Total 11 stitches were given on his head. Jahar Shil was a BJP activist from 2014 when BJP's 95% activists were in Congress party. Jahar Shil was also OBC Morcha leader in Kalyanpur.
