AGARTALA, March 6 (TIWN): Promising Rs. 2,000 Social Pensions from March 2018, BJP formed a Govt in alliance with IPFT in the year 2018 in Tripura but instead of increasing pensions, Social Welfare Dept is excluding names of beneficiaries mercilessly in Tripura. A 115 years old woman's pension was stopped by Biplab Deb Govt, claiming she is dead. In the same way, there are thousands of beneficiaries including physically challenged persons whose social pensions were stopped. Amid statewide slashing of social pension for around 50,000 of people, Tripura CM Biplab Deb continues his tall claims that no social pension was stopped in the state except ghost pensions.

From Nihar Bala Devi to many old people's pensions were stopped and today TIWN has published how a physically handicapped person's pension was also stopped in the ADC area. 

BJP had promised to allocate social pensions at Rs. 2000 but after coming to power, slashing of pensions have been started in full swing led to mass resentments and statewide crisis.
