AGARTALA, Jan 10 (TIWN): Condemning the inhuman role of the Govt. and police administration, 10323 teachers sat on-road and raised slogans against CM Biplab Kumar Deb and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath. After police allegedly did not permit the teachers to bring suicidal victim Rumi Debbarma's dead-body to the agitating spot where thousands of teachers were waiting to pay tribute to Rumi Debbarma. A heavy contingent of the police force was deployed unnecessarily to stop the teachers from taking Rumi's body on the demonstration spot.At first, the police were not releasing her body from GB hospital morgue. For hours the teachers along Late Rumi Debbarma's family waited there but the body was not being released. Alleging police are helping in politics with dead-body of Rumi Debbarma, the 10323 teachers had blocked road before City Centre, broke police barricade and raised slogans against CM Biplab Kumar Deb and Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath.
The teachers broke into tears during protest and have now warned the Govt to solve their problems or if anything undemocratic incident happens, for that only Govt will be responsible.
However, the suicidal victim Rumi Debbarma's dead-body was sent to her Khowai home with police escorts without allowing JMC to pay her tribute in agitation spot. JMC members are present at Khowai.
