AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): When thousands of people under ruling party aligned units on yesterday had joined together against a rape case with 'Love Jihad' banners in Udaipur town, in the same town today, two victim housewives have sat in 'demonstration' seeking justice as even after complaining to the Women Commission, they did not get any help. Reportedly, both the victims roamed doors to doors but did not get any help including from CM of the state. The victims, Saraswati Sukla Das and Sukla Dey Majhi came with their children have started protesting at the District Magistrate office at Udaipur and denied to go back until the DM assures them about justice. As per their statements, they filed written complains against their in-laws family members but no action was taken against the accused persons. One of the housewives is physically challenged, who has a daughter.
Victim Sukla Dey Majhi has raised complaints against husband Amiyo Majhi and other family members. Against them in Baikhora police station also complaints were lodged. In Women Commission too, complaints were lodged but no action was taken by anywhere.
Another victim woman Saraswati Sukla Das Dey had lodged complaints against her husband Khokon Dey who she was undergoing dowry tortures. Then Khokon Dey without divorcing her, remarried and no compensation was given to her. Now, Saraswati left helpless with her two sons.
Both are in protest now before Gomati Dist Magistrate office seeking justice for themselves.
