AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): The Congress Party has called a 12 hours strike on 21st September in protest against the ongoing mismanagement of COVID-19, brutal attacks on common men, political persons and media, in demand of jobs for 10323 teachers, daily workers financial distresses etc. But one of the major reason in the protest will be the unemployment issue and demand for 10323 teachers about their livelihoods. After Haryana, Tripura right now is second in unemployment rate in whole country. Addressing media, Congress party led by leaders Birjit Sinha, Subal Bhowmik said that this strike is not a political strike but a voice of the common men of the state. Thus to raise public voices, Congress stated that it going to hold this strike on 21st September. We request the common men to express their angers against the Govt through this 12 hours strike from morning 6 AM to evening 6 PM". "The way media houses are being attacked, journalists are attacked, such incidents are nowhere seen in this country. This type of fascist Govt and miscreants dominant Govt, Tripura never saw", said Subal Bhowmik.
Leader Birjit Sinha said that Congress will come on the field to succeed this 12 hours strike on 21st August.
Birjit Sinha also stressed upon the unemployment issue and asked Govt immediately to recruit in various depts, specially in the Health Dept when COVID-pandemic has hit the state badly.
