AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath although hyped the “Ektu Poro, Ektu Khelo†Mission of the Tripura Education Dept, but in reality it has totally exempted the poor section of students from the benefits. State Govt teachers whose identities to be confidential in this news, have told TIWN that this mission is fully violating the “Right to Education†and “Equality†like terms of the constitution. Moreover, the quality is also questionable as Class-III to Class-VIII are given same topics as assignment, indeed, “Naam-Ka-wasteâ€. At least in maximum cases, such things are happening. When asked the authority, it was said that whoever will be able to attend the video content, they will join and rest will not. Is this the democratic attitude towards students ? Lots of students thus in Tripura are deprive of this “Ektu Poro, Ektu Khelo Missionâ€. This project must be withdrawn or modify with a pragmatic one.
When it’s about costs, it is practically not possible for everyone to buy smart phones and to put high speed internet balance, where in states like Delhi, the Govt has helped with the data benefit.
Is not it the correct time that Govt must provide smart phone to all poor family students at least, when a similar promise was laid in the vision document.
It has been demanded by the teachers that with a big screenplay, students with social distances should be taught and live telecast of classes must be done. Maintaining social distance and other norms would be upto the duty holders.
